Parish Life
Several times a year opportunities are given to invite those members of St. Raymond of the Mountains Parish who have received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist to take part in the life of the parishes by serving in one of the ministries at Mass. If you are interested and meet the qualifications below, please call the Parish Office at 724-593-7479.
- Lectors: A lector or reader must be at least 16years of age and received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. A lector must also be willing to attend a training session before being placed on the schedule.
- Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMOC): An extraordinary minister must be at least 17 years of age and received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. They must also be willing to attend a training session before being placed on the schedule.
- Altar Servers: This ministry is open to children in third grade and above who have received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. There are many options to become an altar server. You may serve alone or we will pair you with another child to serve until you want to serve alone. Children may also serve with a member of their family, or you can be an adult willing to dedicate time to this ministry.
