ST. RAYMOND’S PARISH PICNIC...The Parish Picnic will be this Sunday, August 22, starting at noon at St. Raymond's Parish Grounds. There will be NO Coffee and Donuts after the 10:30 AM Mass for this weekend due to the Parish Picnic.

COMMUNION SERVICE AT ST. RAYMOND...St. Raymond Church will have a Communion Service on Wednesday, August 25 at 8:00 AM in the Church and Wednesday, September 1 at 8:00 AM in the Church.

ST. RAYMOND CANTORS’ REHEARSAL...Cantors will be rehearsing with Dr. Steven Whisdosh at St. Raymond’s on Monday, August 30, beginning at 7:00 PM. New cantors are welcome to attend.

The Labor Day Mass will be held on Monday, September 6, at 9:00 AM at St. Raymond Church.

Religious Education Class Information… Religious Education Classes for both parishes will begin on Sunday, September 26. All registration materials will be mailed by August 31. If your child is entering religious education classes this year, 2010-11 and did not attend religious education classes at either parish for the school year, 2009-2010, please call Toni Terretti at 724-593-4593. Please remember children must attend first grade prior to receiving First Eucharist in second grade. Also, this year’s second graders who received the First Eucharist must attend third grade to receive the
sacrament of Confirmation in 4th grade.

News From the Neighborhood

HOLY TRINITY, LIGONIER - PARISH MISSION, SEPTEMBER 11- 15, 2010...Fr. Angelus Shaughnessy, OFM Cap, well known for his outstanding homilies will be conducting a Parish Mission at Holy Trinity Parish in Ligonier from Saturday, September 11 to Wednesday evening, September 15.  The mission schedule is a follows:

He will deliver a homily at the 5:30 PM Saturday evening Mass and at the 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM Masses on Sunday.

  There will be a 7:00 PM evening service on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday consisting of a Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament.  Wednesday evening the Mission will end with Mass at 7:00 PM.  Morning Masses on Monday and Tuesday will begin at 9:00 AM instead of 8:00 AM and Wednesday morning Mass will be at 9:30 AM.

  Confessions will be heard on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after the morning Mass, also after the 7:00 PM
evening service and at 3:00 PM in the afternoon.

The Steelers Raffle Tickets are ready for sale! The tickets are $10 each, with 2 daily numbers (3-digits) on each ticket.  The prize is 4 lower-level tickets to the Steelers vs. Ravens game at Heinz Field on Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM, and $500 cash.  The ticket goes off on Saturday, September 25th.  Please help and support the GCC Girls Soccer Team by
